Wilberforce Trust chosen as Lord Mayor’s Charity partner for 2021/22
On the 27th May 2021 Councillor Chris Cullwick will be sworn in as Lord Mayor and will announce the Wilberforce Trust as one of the charities he will be promoting during his period in office.
We are delighted to announce that the Wilberforce Trust has been selected as one of the Lord Mayor’s charities for 2021/22. Along with local charities SASH and York Mind, we will be part of a whole programme of planned activities to raise funds for our work.
We are very grateful to Cllr Chris Cullwick for selecting us. 2021 is a game changing year for the Trust. With our new supported living apartments and Living and Learning Zone due to open in the Autumn, funds to support this development are needed more than ever.
We are looking forward to playing our part in making this year a spectacular success as we work with the Lord Mayor, Sheriff and their team, to roll out a range of events from pub quizzes, a Golf Day, curry night and the famous Valentine’s Day Ball.
