Our qualified, and experienced Rehabilitation Officer Team have a thorough understanding of on campus mobility training and aim to support students to get the most out of their time at University or College.
The Wilberforce Trust are listed with Student Finance England as a registered Non-Medical Help (NMH) Provider and are able to offer mobility support to students in York and surrounding areas. Our qualified, and experienced Rehabilitation Officer Team have a thorough understanding of on campus mobility training and aim to support students to get the most out of their time at University or College.
We can provide a professional assessment of the campus location and put together a bespoke programme of orientation and mobility training based on individually agreed requirements. We can support students with all aspects of mobility using a range of techniques including the use of a long cane and utilisation of any residual vision. We aim to enable navigation safely and independently around campus.
