Connect, Inspire, Support


Join us at our offices at Wilberforce House and venues across the city of York to connect with other people experiencing a sensory impairment.  The support groups currently include:

Connect Café

Our bi-monthly Connect Café uses the idea of a café but with the plan of having a theme to each meeting, it will aim to inform, involve, update and connect you with services and people in the visual impairment &/or hearing impairment world.

The café is traditionally a Thursday morning from 10:30am to 12 noon and the upcoming dates are:

Sadly, in line with government coronavirus guidance, the Connect Cafe has been cancelled at this time.  We look forward to opening the doors and welcoming everyone back as soon as we can safely do so.   

Sensory Support Groups

Tinnitus Support Group

In partnership with the British Tinnitus Association, we offer a bi-monthly support group for anyone living with tinnitus and resident within York and surrounding areas.  This is also a bi-monthly group, which runs on a Thursday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm.  Each meeting is themed to explore how to support adults living with tinnitus and offers opportunities for attendees to share their own experience.
