At the Wilberforce Trust, we’re dedicated to supporting people with sight and hearing loss to live independent and fulfilling lives. We rely on the generosity and support of our community to help us continue our work.
If your company runs a corporate volunteering scheme, we’d love to invite you to spend time with us making a meaningful difference. Whether you’re looking to give back, strengthen team dynamics, or develop new skills, we are happy to talk with you about ways that we can help each other.
How you can help:
Team Building & Development Days – Get out of the office and into the community. Use your volunteering day as a team-building opportunity that fosters collaboration and gives back in a lasting way.
Facilities Maintenance – Help us keep our facilities safe and welcoming. From painting and basic repairs to light DIY projects, your time and skills go a long way.
Gardening Projects – Get your hands dirty and help us maintain our gardens, providing peaceful and sensory-rich outdoor spaces for our residents to enjoy.
Help us to spread the word – Join one of our mailout sessions, where we prepare our Insight newsletter for postage.
Seasonal activities – Support our fundraising activities spreading the magic of Christmas by joining Santa in his yearly sledge ride around local neighbourhoods, wrapping presents for our tenants and children or helps us set a trail of sound emitting Easter eggs for our youngsters.
A note on costs:
While we’re incredibly grateful for donated time and skills, we kindly ask companies to consider making a contribution however small, to help cover the cost of materials, tools, or supplies needed for your volunteer activities. This ensures that your generous support doesn’t leave the charity out of pocket, and that your time has the greatest possible impact. Even a modest donation can make all the difference.
