Corporate Social Responsibility

CSR that really makes a difference

Brand Awareness:

By sponsoring our events or choosing us as your Charity of the Year, we will post stories of our cooperation on our social media, use your logo on our website and banners and potentially put our partnership forward for charity sector awards which will bring kudos and visibility.

Employee Engagement:

As a local charity with York-based activities, we can offer employees the opportunity to participate in our family outings, befriend a tenant, take part in a sensory session or come out on our Mobile Unit.  We can also support staff in planning fundraising activities with time and resources.

Corporate Social Responsibility credibility:

As a responsible business you want to walk your talk and show your staff and clients that you are giving back to the local community.  The Wilberforce Trust is one of York’s oldest charities and is going to have increased visibility in the Community when our new build is completed.  We cater to a neglected group of people but are also very relatable.  Anyone could lose their sight or hearing and most of us know someone in that situation.

Naming Opportunities:

With a new building, new activities and a beautiful new sensory garden, there will be opportunities to name rooms, activities or benches for posterity thus creating a visible link between your Company and our work.

Corporate Events:

The Trust organizes a number of events each year which raise funds and at the same time promote networking and employee engagement.  These include a Charity Golf Day, dinner at The Ivy, Legal Eagles, concerts, Fun Runs, and Challenge Events. These provide opportunities for staff involvement, and opportunities to showcase your own business and learn about others.
