At the Wilberforce Trust we are all about people. People whose lives have been affected by sight or hearing loss, people who work to support them and people who give up their time to help us raise awareness and raise funds.

We want you to join our community and spread the word.  Become an ambassador, join Club Wilber, dress up as Santa, befriend one of our tenants or come and work for us in a rewarding career making a real difference to people’s lives.

Our Living and Learning Zone at Wilberforce House is a resource for the whole community, with our friendly and accessible cafe; the perfect place to meet up with friends or hold an informal meeting, and our event space, the Rainbow Room.

We run a range of inclusive activities designed to build confidence, life skills, and wellbeing. These classes are either one-off workshops or regular classes with the same and we are always looking for volunteers to help us make sure that we can meet the demand we know is growing all the time.

Our YorSensory Hub is also located in Wilberforce House and provides information and reassurance for anyone with worries about their sight or hearing or that of their child or relative.
