At the Wilberforce Trust we are all about people. People whose lives have been affected by sight or hearing loss, people who work to support them and people who give up their time to help us raise awareness and raise funds.
We want you to join our community and spread the word. Become an ambassador, join Club Wilber, dress up as Santa, befriend one of our tenants or come and work for us in a rewarding career making a real difference to people’s lives.
Our new Living and Learning Zone will be a resource for the whole community and we will be there for anyone with worries about their sight or hearing or that of their child or relative. We’ll be running a range of inclusive activities designed to build confidence, life skills, and wellbeing and we need you to help us make sure that we can meet the demand we know is growing all the time.
Nearly two-thirds of people living with sight loss are women.
The Wilberforce Trust is dedicated to helping those with visual impairment, sight loss, hearing loss and other disabilities across York, North Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.
