Test your knowledge of York while working as a team
Be in for a chance of winning the Yorkopoly Trophy and a meal at one of York’s most talked-about restaurants
In teams of 2 or 4, you will visit every venue listed on the York Monopoly board (bar one) plus a wild card which will be indicated by a fiendish clue!
Starting from your own unique location upon a signal sent to your phone at 10.00 a.m., you will work with your team to find the quickest way around taking a selfie at each venue to prove you have been there.
Arriving at Dean’s Park next to the Minster as your final location, you will be given a finishing time and a medal and a well-earned drink.
The team that finishes first without cheating (!) will win the coveted prize of a meal for 4 at one of York’s most highly rated eating establishments.
Each team will receive a pack containing the rules of the game, a clipboard with all the locations to be visited, a pen, branded hi-vis vests, a map of York and some sweets for energy!
We are asking teams to raise a minimum of £200 towards our Appeal for a new “Living and Learning Zone” catering for people of all ages across York living with sight or hearing loss.
We can help you set up a fundraising page and send you a fundraising pack full of ideas.
To enter please request a form Jane Carter or enter online at
with a £20 deposit and you’re in the York Monopoly Chase!
Hopefully, rescheduled to later in 2020
