Wilberforce, with the help of its volunteers, organise several fundraising events during the year, from our annual Christmas Fayre and Carol Concert to regular hospital stalls, community collections and at least two larger events. The money raised from these fundraising events goes to support people with sight loss and other disabilities across York and the surrounding area.
If you would like to get involved or have any fundraising ideas please let us know.
In the Community
Bags of Help:
Throughout January and February we will be part of the Tesco Bags of Help scheme for January and February. If you shop at either the Tesco Extra at Tadcaster Road or the Acomb Wood Express please use your tokens to vote for us.
The funds raised will be used for the new Sensory Garden we will be building next to the new apartments and Living and Learning Zone which will create a beautiful haven of peace for all who use it.
Co-op Local Community Fund:
Throughout 2019 we are part of the Co-op local community fund, Every time members shop at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on Co-op branded products and services helps fund community projects. Co-op members can sign in to support the Trust. Shop at stores in Haxby to help support our cause.
